My mother's parents were from San Francisco. How they met - we can only guess. My grandfather was a barber (sp?). My grandmother was born in New York - baptized in Brooklyn came to S.F. as an infant as her father had died. How my grandparents met wasn't known to me - only to know they lived in SF.

I've heard so many snippets about San Francisco and now am so curious about who they are about. Is Grandma's mother's parent's heritage also Irish? I've heard her tell me that her mother's mother was a more intimate grandma then her formal grandparents on her father's side. Did her grandfather live in Portland as well (NE 31st & Oregon)? When did they move to Oregon? What are their names?
So many questions, how about you?
